You seem to be intent on doing some damage. Hobbled until we figure this one out.

Hi Burdy- we don't have an opt-out method for CB. Though we also don't have a method to track how long you, personally, have been viewing something.

Hi dag!
I have a question for you ...
Chartbeat weirds me out. I hate the idea of someone knowing how long I am at a certain page etc.
Is there some way I can exclude myself from it?

Hmm, I thought MSNBC was on the approve list as an NBC variant- I've forwarded this to Lucky- as I'm not exactly sure.

Cheers,

If it is a permission issue then I would rather the submit form say "you do not have permission to post this" rather than "the embed appears to be invalid". I spent over an hour trying to figure out what was wrong with that PeeWee iPad embed yesterday.
In reply to this comment by dag:
I just tried it and it worked fine for me:

Make sure that you've got a complete copy of the embed- if it's still not working for you, we'll escalate to Lucky.
Cheers

Hey, I'm trying to submit a video but it keeps telling me that the embed is invalid. It works fine in comments, but the submit form won't accept it. The same thing happened with the PeeWee iPad video yesterday. =(
So I just started a new one.
I don't know how long I have been visiting this site, but I do enjoy it tremendously. Intelligent. A minimum of trash talk. Can't stand the trash talk.
Anyway, with the economy the way it is, I thought it was time for me to throw some love your way.
Keep up the good work, and thanks for creating such a smart community.
I have a hard drive that was infected by malware at statcntr.com on 1-6-2010.
You mentioned you would like a copy of the file.
I'm not sure if I know how to do that, but with some coaching I may be able to get it to you if you are still interested.
The infected hard drive is external to my current pc which shows no sign of the malware infection.
let me know
Well, here's what I know:
I've contacted our ad networks to see if they had any info about it - neither claim any knowledge and say it's not part of their inventory.
I've used my VPN to become US-based and tried about 40 reloads with Chrome- but can't make it happen.
StatCntr.com seems to be triggering on BoingBoing and TweetMeme as well:
http://search.twitter.com/search?q=statcntr.com
Still looking into it- if anybody gets it and manages to snag the source code that is around it- we'd love to have a look.
Thanks
